Our client a leading bank owned asset financier for whom we have successfully placed staff right across the UK and also on continental Europe are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their high performer construction and recycling team.
This is a role that needs the ability to cold call prospects either customers or dealers on a daily basis to build up a customer base.
Over time the role will develop into more of a blend of account management and new business but initially the focus will wholly be on self generated business.
Target will set be very realistically taking into account the new business nature of the role.
Earnings are uncapped with monthly paid commission , paid on every deal you do , plus generous year end paid bonuses of £15,000 payable at £6m , a further £15,000 payable between £6m and £12m and once at £12m a further £15,000 becomes payable.
Realistic year one earnings should be £70,000 , year 2 £90,000 and year 3 £120,000.
Leading performers at our client earn > £250,000 annually – this could be you in 4 years time !
To apply you must be North West based and have some experience in asset finance sales.
Unusually our client are willing to consider applicants who are currently fulfilling internal sales roles and are seeking a first move into an external sales position.
We are also willing to consider those who have supply side sales experience of construction and or recycling assets and some experience of using finance as a sales tool and who wish to transition to a career in asset finance.
If you have experience of either construction and / or recycling assets this would be a definite advantage but is not a pre-requisite to apply.
However what is most sought is the following :
- The ability to pick up the phone and cold call to find prospects on a daily basis.
- The ability to close customers to meet to discuss their needs and turn them into prospects
- The ability to quickly close deals selling on value and flexibility not on price
- The ability to leverage self sourced opportunities from a variety of methods , direct cold calling , dealer networks , trade shows , referrals ( but not lease brokers as they are your competition ! )
- A drive to want to earn £100,000 + a year

Base salary £40-£45,000 , monthly commission , plus annual bonuses uncapped earnings
