Our client a leading financier are seeking to hire an additional Midlands based and focused Business Development Manager to join their fast expanding national vehicle stock finance team.
The role is entirely new business focussed , when you have closed a new dealer you will hand over the account to an Account Manager for in life management.
Our client has a strong and transparent proposition that encompasses :
- Providing stocking finance for facilities from £100,000 to £2.5m , average being £500,000

- Funding for longer periods than typical market offerings
- Financing for unit amounts that are highly market competitive

Your role, after a settling in period of 3 months will be to achieve advances of between £1m and £1.5m a month dependent on your experience remuneration etc.
A detailed job description is available to share with suitably experience applicants , but it won’t have the granular data above kindly provided by our client in it.
You will report to a Regional Manager who themselves carries a personal target they report to the Head of Stocking , you should be Midlands located , able to work from home , be hard working , focused and diligent.
You must have at least a basic ability to read a balance sheet and if your skills in this area are moderate you will need to be someone who can be trained and can also retain what you are taught.
Our client have had mixed experiences hiring staff or interviewing from dedicated stock financiers , if you have that background please do apply but you need to able to adapt to a new employer and would be expect to have more than a basis ability to read a balance sheet.
Our client are willing to consider applications from those who have a retail car finance background who have some understanding of stock finance and a willingness to learn stock financing.
A recent hire came from such a background and has been a significant success, in part from being able to go back to existing dealers but offer them not the usual competing product but a new product.
Whatever you exact background you will need effective sales skills , personal and professional integrity , excellent time management and organisational skills and good judgement and the ability to work as part of a team but be accountable for hitting your own targets.

Base salary range is £45,000 to £55,000 plus a £5,000 a year cash car allowance.
Your on target earnings are base salary plus 50% and your commission is paid quarterly in arrears.
You start earning commission from 90% of your target at 100% you have earned your 50% .
High performers can earn up to 70% of salary for achieving 120% of target.
