DESCRIPTION
Our client a bank owned asset financier are seeking to appoint an additional Business Development Manager to further develop direct and or dealer driven asset finance business across a sales area encompassing Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire , Northants , Hertfordshire , Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.
Your role will be to develop new business focussing on machine tools, food manufacturing , woodworking , transport and general hard assets but largely excluding construction unless customers you know are not already customers of our client.
Volume and margin target are highly achievable and reflect the new business nature of the role. We will be happy to disclose both the volume target and the target selling rate to suitably qualified applicants.
Our client has a strong appetite for new business both in terms of asset class and credit and there are no restrictions on the size of deal you can do other than a lower limit of £15,000.
Average deal size is £80,000 and deals have been closed by members of the team to £1m in the last year and to £5m in the recent past.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking applications from asset finance business developers who are located on the sales area and have a demonstrable record of success in winning new name self sourced asset finance business.
We are seeking a combination of new business sales skills coupled with a broad awareness of a range of finance products , Hire Purchase , Finance Lease and ideally receivables funding as our client offer this ( but do apply if you fit the rest of the brief but do not have receivables experience as our client will close any product gap with training )
To apply you need to be an organised self starter with strong communication and sales skills and you should also have reasonable credit awareness skills – enough to know a viable opportunity from a poor one and also able to write a credit paper to support your proposals.
You may be working for a lease broker but with a high cost of funds and limited range of funders and be seeking the ability to sell to a wider range of customers using more competitive cost of money and to earn a higher income, a more secure role and potential career progression.
You may be working for tier 1 bank funder operating with very competitive costs of money but be carrying a very large target be hitting this target . At year end you may have found that your bonus is perhaps only 10% of your base salary and then only if your balance score card appraisal is perfectly aligned with your objectives and your employer themselves has hit its own corporate targets. You may want the same security of employment you have now but want the chance to earn up to 75% of your base salary and to be rewarded based on your own contribution

JOB PACKAGE
Salary to £65,000 up to 75% bonus partly quarterly paid and partly fiscal year end paid + company car and excellent benefits.
