DESCRIPTION
Our client a highly respected bank are seeking to develop a dedicated green finance business unit, the bank already tactically finances green assets but are seeking to develop a strategic footprint in this fast growing part of the market and are intending to hire a Head of Green Finance.
Reporting to a Director you will work closely with credit, operations, asset management etc to contribute to the development strategy for the sector, providing further advice on asset classes that represent the best opportunities , how to price these assets and what the most effective route is to capitalise on market opportunities is.
Whilst the role very much one of development our client takes a long term strategic view and are realistic about first year income objectives. Targets for the next fiscal are yet to be determined but at least initially we anticipate these to be objectives based rather than hard numbers.
You will be expected to work closely with not only the senior leadership teams but also the leaders of sales teams across the business to be very much the subject matter expert on green financing embedding knowledge to enable all opportunities to be capitalised upon.
In addition you will be expected to add personal value by establishing larger scale tactical and strategic opportunities and leading on larger and more complex transactions.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking applications from those who already have green finance experience and a demonstrable record of success in the financing of green assets, please do not apply if you do not have this specialist knowledge.
You must have knowledge of a variety of green assets and be able to contribute pricing, credit , residual value opportunities and also routes to market and also possess contacts that you will want to re-leverage with an ambitious new employer once you are free of any restrictive covenants that currently constrain you.
We are unconcerned about your location but you should expect to travel nationally and to visit our clients offices at various locations across the UK to build engagement with the leaders of various departments and the sales staff you will work with.
We are seeking applications from those who have real gravitas and presence to demonstrably be the UK’s leader in green finance at our client and who have the ability to impart green finance knowledge to nationally operating sales teams.
Those who have matrix management experience are of particular interest as initially the role is not anticipated to have direct reports but may have in the future.
JOB PACKAGE
Salary range from £75,000 to £85,000 + 40% OTE quarterly paid plus potential to earn to 75% plus company car and excellent benefits.
