DESCRIPTION
To lead and manage the activities of the new business operations department in support of our clients vision to be the trusted brand for financial services in Europe and to be the first choice and household name for financial services by 2030. This will be delivered by achieving the mission of exceptional people, providing outstanding customer experiences today.
As a member of the operations management team, you will specialise in the new business operations for existing finance programmes
In essence this role is to lead an experienced operations team of 4 handling payouts across our clients business.
Typically your team will be paying out deals ranging in size from £25K to £5m for business written across 20 different markets ( countries ) and in a multiple currencies managing 9 different bank accounts.
You will have a personal payout authority of £1m reflecting the seniority of the position.
You will also support in the product development for new programmes and initiatives. Focus on designing solutions from operational perspective to develop the opportunities for programmes in the UK and wider Europe.
Coach and develop the new business operations team and create a motivated team with a culture of excellent service at its core. A team that understands the importance of the role it plays in promoting business retention and in the acquisition of new business.
Design, shape and lead the strategic development of the new business operations function to satisfy regulatory requirements and our clients mission of outstanding customer experience.
Implement reliable operational frameworks that provide assurance to the SLT that our client is operating in a safe & compliant manner. Ensure risk awareness and mitigation is an integral part of the operating procedures and daily working methodologies.
As part of the management team work collaboratively with other managers to create opportunities to support the success of the business
Enhance, develop and comply with all corporate governance requirements.

Knowledge Requirements :
- Knowledge of operational systems and process
- Advanced understanding of financial services
- Knowledge of DPA, CCA, OFT, TCF, SOX, FCA CCD, KYC, AML
- Knowledge and understanding of working and dealing directly multiple stakeholders including supply chain
- Knowledge of MS Office
- A second European Language an advantage ( NOT a pre requisite to apply )
Candidate Profile
Due to the nature of this role it is largely office based at our clients offices but with tactical home working being possible occasionally. The contracted place of work will be our clients offices.
We are seeking excellent asset and vendor finance experience in an operational capacity and the ability to lead , coach and motivate an experienced operations team.
This experience should have been gained in a major scale environment ideally within an international asset or vendor finance environment be this an independent , a bank or a captive lessor.
You will need to be a confident individual able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in support of SLA’s provided to partners.
You will be someone who possesses gravitas, presence and confidence to not only lead your team effectively but be able to work with an SLT and be able to contribute strategically to the development of our clients business to push forward their 2030 objectives.
