Our client a leading financier for whom we have recruited for over 20 years in the UK and across Europe are seeking a Senior Territory Manager to take over responsibility for the management and further growth of its fleet HGV finance business in the UK.
Whilst the majority of your focus will be on working strategically with a number of HGV sales staff who are wholly focussed on fleet truck sales it is expected that you will also manage a couple of dealer relationships where your focus will be on a broader range of customers from owner operators to SME’s and SMB’s.
You will tasked with building on the outstanding success of the incumbent whom we placed a number of years ago and who will be retiring in early spring 2025. Our client are seeking to appoint their replacement by October this year to enable you to work closely with them for an extended handover period.
Your primary target is one of achieving finance penetration levels with the current target being around 38% and which has been overachieved.
Your pay plan and broader objectives will be based on a combination of finance penetration which represents 30% of your variable, margin representing 30% , volume representing 20% and fee income representing 20%.
Achieving 100% in each of these categories will earn you a 25% of salary end of year paid bonus.
Over achievers have the potential to earn up to 40% of salary.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking applications from those who have a breadth of corporate customer facing HGV finance deal closing experience. Please do not apply if you do not possess this experience.
Our clients c100 fleet customers include major supermarkets leading logistics companies and national fleet companies. To apply you must have demonstrable experience working with major corporate customers at senior level across multiple functions finance , treasury , fleet management , procurement etc.
It is crucial that you possess gravitas and presence to imbue confidence in you adding value to your fleet colleagues sales process and that you can help broaden and deepen their contacts at their customer or prospect.
Are you are to help them close more deals , bigger deals , more quickly , more profitably and more easily ? if so then your value to them will be self evident and you can expect to become a valued strategic partner.
In terms of location this is a national role with your fleet sales colleagues based from London to the North of England and with existing and prospective customers based nationally.
Our client are relaxed on your location if you are willing to travel nationally but we would say that we are ideally seeking applicants based no further north than Leeds , west of Bristol or South or East of London.
However , if you have the ideal experience and are located outside of these geographical limits we would like to talk with you.
Preferred salary to £70,000 but possibly more for an exceptional individual , on target earning + 25% with potential to 40% plus company car and excellent benefits.
