Our client a specialist international financier and also a supplier of second life IT assets and services are seeking an additional Business Development Director to join their fast growing and highly successful UK sales team.
They are seeking to hire an experienced business developer with a knowledge of working with and selling to the education sector and / or the not for profit sector.
You route to market is expected to be a combination of the following :
1 : Direct prospecting of end user customers where you will have the opportunity not just to offer financial solutions to customer new IT assets but also to offer customer the choice of tier 1 2nd life IT assets at highly competitive prices.
2 : Prospecting of IT dealers , resellers , systems integrators who themselves are targeting the education and not for profit sectors.
Your proposition is a highly attractive one encompassing , competitive finance including deep own book residual value investment position in all tier 1 hardware products , the capacity to fund almost any type of structure via access to class leading partners.
Our client are flexible about your location but you will be expected to work at least one day a week from their UK Head Office they are sensible about what time you arrive if you are a distance away , travel to their head office though will be at your expense.
This role is a wholly new business one but targets are sensible and reflect the new business nature of the role. We are happy to disclose these to any applicant we would like to put forward.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking applications from those who have a depth of successful experience and contacts selling into the education sector and ideally also into the not for profit sector.
Our ideal profile of applicant will have a background in IT finance sales focussed on one or ideally both of these sectors and a black book of contacts with customers and or reseller partners that can be readily re-leveraged in a new role.
However , we are also willing to consider applications from those who have been selling IT products and services to either or both of these sectors and have some appreciation of selling finance to close a sale who similarly have a black book of contacts.
Our clients have significant resource to help close any gaps in your knowledge of finance so if your knowledge of selling residual value driven IT finance solutions is limited do not be overly concerned.
What is of overwhelming importance is that you need to be a genuine new business developer.
Rather than fear cold calling of suspects to qualify them into prospects be they direct customers or IT partners you will relish the opportunity to go knock on doors and build a portfolio.
Importantly customers and resellers you win you keep , so over time the position becomes a blend of account management and new business.
This is nearest thing to running your own lease brokerage but with 80% of the upside and none of the risk , here you will have a support network around you to help you and proper base salary in addition to a superb variable pay plan.

Preferred salary range up to £75,000 , monthly paid commission and wholly uncapped earnings .
On target earnings are expected to c£150,000 with realistic potential for a high achiever to earn comfortably over £200,000.
